Derek Chambers – 25th to 31st May
Derek Chambers will be showing an exhibition of his recent work, a combination of print and painting and drawing.

Printmakers x2 – 1st to 7th June
Julie Orpen
Julie produces Lino prints and Engravings that are usually inspired by the natural world around her, and she attempts to convey the movement in nature when she designs her work, as well as a sense of depth. Julie has recently been making prints of various birds and animals using their collective noun as a theme.
Anne Townshend artist : printmaker
Constantly inspired by her surroundings, Anne can often be seen cycling and sketching around her local Suffolk lanes, or settled with a sketch book in a sheltered corner somewhere along the beautiful east coast. Always having been involved with art, the acquisition of an albion printing press some years ago initiated a change of direction for the expression of Anne’s creativity, through carving and printing lino block.

Tony Rothon and Sarah Nutley – 8th to 14th June
Amongst an array of current figurative painters many claims to authenticity are from those whose use of the ipad stills their world and provides their key of colour. The painters Sarah Nutley and Tony Rothon are quite different from this: they both work directly from observation without photographic assistance, whether standing before their subject matter, or pondering the nature of appearance back in the studio. As such their work retains a freshness, a sense of genuine enquiry and an honesty which is rarely found in ‘art’ produced today. Visit their new show at The Aldeburgh Gallery and see for yourself!

Ian Cook – 15th to 21st June
Ian Cook has been a professional photographer since the 60s. His work has appeared in various publications around the world. Two years ago he had a successful exhibition at The Aldeburgh Gallery and is now returning this summer with more well-known personalities as well as a selection of sites around the globe he has been lucky enough to have visited.

Naturehuman – 22 to 28th June
A group show with work from Clark Broadwood-Smith, Jess Bradley, Anna Kora and Nancy Main.
Sculpture, ceramics and wall art rooted in traditional crafts and sculptural arts. Using natural materials and a simple palette, all of the artists are exploring the relationship we humans have with the world around us, expressing this in both abstract and figurative forms.

Sara Johnson – 29th June to 5th July
Sara Johnson is a landscape painter using mainly acrylic and mixed media on board and watercolour on paper. She is known for her semi-abstract and atmospheric paintings of the places she visits, particularly the tidal estuaries East Suffolk.

Tony Hatt – 6th to 12th July
Tony uses watercolour to capture scenes of the local countryside and the Suffolk coast. He is interested in sailing so boats and the sea feature heavily in his work.
Many of his seascapes, costal and river scenes explore the effects of light and reflections on water.

Boo Compton and Sally-Ann Elliot – 13th to 19th July
Boo Compton is a contemporary abstract artist, living in rural Suffolk. Boo creates distinctive abstracts that embrace strong visual dynamics, colour and often texture. Boo’s work is regularly exhibited and she has a worldwide collector base.
Sally-Ann Elliott is an interior stylist and artist, and recently relocated her family to rural Suffolk from North London. Sally-Ann has combined her experience of interiors and textiles with her passion for art, and now creates her own bespoke pieces inspired by textile patterns and her love of colour and graphic shapes.
