Naomi Munuo – 31st August to 6th September
“My artistic intention is to create a frisson between joyful colour harmonies and compositional structure whilst narrating the drama which exists in the moment. I am keen to explore the boundary between observation and imagination and capture an essence of form and juxtapose this with decorative pattern. From my work I hope the viewer will take away some of the beauty that I see in everyday situations.”
Naomi’s work is inspired by the modern masters, her family and interior settings. She observes and imagines scenes with objects and artefacts and assembles them around portraits of women, lost in thought or enjoying a mindful moment. Naomi enjoys the intensity of colour that can be achieved with acrylic paint, the fast-drying nature of it lends itself to the way she works, layering patterns on blocks of colour.

Katherine Barney Ceramics – 7th to 13th September
Katherine Barney produces vibrant hand painted ceramics in her studio nestled in the heart of Norfolk.
She produces anything from a cup, jug, bowl to a bespoke tile panel.
Her inspiration is from her chickens, flowers, birds, and anything bright.
Catch her at Aldeburgh because she doesn’t come out much!

Stephen Cooper – 14th to 20th September
Stephen is an author, artist, travel-writer and photographer, now living in Suffolk. 'Inspired by Venice' is his personal response to a much-loved city. Captured in abstract collages assembled from built layers of tissue, fabric, poured and found papers, coloured with pigments, inks, dyes, pastels, and textured with encaustic and gold leaf. His work evokes the colour, history and rich beauty of the city – its ancient stones, vibrant marbles and mosaics, shimmering waters and magical light.

Ben Wardle – 5th to 11th October
Ben lives in Snape, Suffolk and has been lucky enough to spend the last 20yrs of his working life on horseback exploring some of the most beautiful countryside East Anglia has to offer.
He is an established East Anglian landscape artist whose paintings are of what he sees in these landscapes, but more importantly how he feels when he is in them.
He has an MA in Fine Art, using the opportunity to analyse his practice. Being in wild spaces has a tremendous effect on our mental health, and Ben found out just how much this psychological/environmental link gives him a great source of creative inspiration.

Twelve Printmakers – 12th to 18th October
The aim of the Group is to produce high quality hand-made images using a wide range of fully recognised print-making techniques, both in limited editions and as one-off unique images. All the prints are conceived and carried out by the artist working directly on the block, plate or screen from which the print will be made. The Group is based on the Essex/Suffolk border, with close links to the Gainsborough House Print Workshop in Sudbury and the Colchester-based print studio at Cuckoo Farm. The artists meet on a regular basis to exchange ideas and plan for exhibitions and have shown extensively in East Anglia and London. Their work is held in private collections, both in the UK and abroad.
