Exhibitions - Autumn 2020
For the love of colour Nicola Mountney, Louise Sant and Robyn Hardyman – 3rd to 9th September
Taking inspiration from her travels, Louise collects semi-precious stones and pearls, creating beautiful jewellery collections in sterling silver, vermeil and 18ct gold. Since moving to the Suffolk heritage coast, Louise has been inspired by her daily walks on the beach, creating a combination of colour and texture, to produce lovely, wearable jewels.
Nicola presents a selection of original paintings demonstrating her unique style of fusing East with West in terms of subject matter and technique. Nicola studied Tibetan Buddhist thangka (scroll) painting and went on to develop her own style with an emphasis on precision, colour and detail in gouache.
Robyn uses porcelain because she loves its combination of delicacy and strength. Her work is both functional and decorative; the bowls, cups, vases and jugs are thrown thinly and are often inspired by the classic shapes of oriental ceramics, but they have a contemporary feel of their own.

From the coast of England, rural France and America to the simplicity of kitchen objects to sunny gardens, they use a wide variety of materials. Both share a love of drawing and colour and are very pleased to return here with an interesting collection of new work, framed and unframed.
